Our 3rd year is beginning

Each year at this time, We have look on how the site is doing. At this time we ( the staff and myself ) makes a full review.

Within the next few weeks we will be removing some of the inactive topics adding new ones.

As of now, one of the new programs added is the top 5 stats, which can be seen at the lower end of the home page.

I feel this progam will give us a better view as to what our members are looking for. Dale

As Dale mentioned...Citrus North is starting it's 3rd year. Membership is nearly 300. We're off to a great start for 08....BUT.....we want to hear from you...the shy members....How can we make Citrus North better for you? How can we get you involved? Our hope is that this site will be jumping with activity...lots of chit~chat, ideas and problems being discussed and resolved, plants, seeds and cuttings offered and exchanged (where it's legal to do so). Think about it and ask yourself what it would take to get you more involved with Citrus North and what we could do to get you into the mix? We welcome and need your ideas, energy and input. Please feel free to share your thoughts, you are among friends. CJ

Well, I'll start! I am one of those people who tend not to speak, just take in information and weigh it against everything else I have read and/or experienced. I have noticed by the number of posts that I have made, that the folks here have brought me out of my shell more so than I would have ever imagined. That is a tribute to the generosity and warm reception of so many here. I don't feel that at this point in my citrus journey that I have much more to contribute than problems and appreciation - but I offer both! I have yet to have any trees of any size to produce fruit or cuttings - I wait for that day! For now I am the student.

I will try to offer more in the way of encouragement, though. I'm sure I can do that! Exchanges and offerings would be great, however some of us do not yet have much to offer. Time will certainly change that!

I check in here almost every day, and when I am at the computer alot during the day, I check in several times in a day. I really do enjoy reading about what everyone is doing with their citrus trees, figs, bananas and pineapples. I am actually thinking about looking into a banana and trying again at a fig tree this spring as a result of this site. My husband just laughs at me and suggests we move to Florida!

Well, that's all I have to say for now. Sorry I didn't add much in the way of ideas, but I thought I would just voice my appreciation. Sincerely, Barbara

I love this site and all the information on it, my biggest problem is time. I try to check in once a day as my time permits to see what's new and read, read, read, and learn. For 2008 I promised myself I would be a better participant but the weather this winter so far has kept me hopping, ( dispatcher for AAA Minneapolis) but with the spring, (and it can't come fast enough), hopefully will be able to communicate more.
