John, Correct. We had a member looking for a source for Black Bamboo a while back. Any tips on finding it? You will never find a put down on this site. We all work together in helping each other

Here where I am it's pretty readily available, it's the most popular type of running bamboo so pretty much anyone who sells bamboo is selling it.

Personally though I like it I equally like my 20 some odd other varieties of bamboo that I have, all are unique and interesting for different reasons.

If you can direct me to the post I can help point them in the right direction.

It helps to mix about 1/3rd coarse river sand to the Miracle grow potting mix. In the plant propating princles and practices gy Hartman and Kester severl receips are give for potting and rooting. My original edition 3 was left in Belize in 1994. It was never returned. A later edition was bought and recent the 3rd edition, like new was purchased from Barned and Noble for less than $20.00 that included postage.

It helps to mix about 1/3rd coarse river sand to the Miracle grow potting mix. In the plant propagation princiles and practices gy Hartman and Kester several mixes are given for potting and rooting. My original third edition was left in Belize in 1994. It was never returned. A later edition was bought and recent the 3rd edition, like new was purchased from Barned and Noble for less than $20.00 that included postage. This is one of the better books. The 3rd edition, in my opinion is the better book especially the price.
