Default My palms

I've three palms, all of them parlor/Queens palms. My first one is three feet, I've had it a year. It suffered horribly over the winter, thanx to my cats, particulary Boo. This spring, I literally threw it outside, under a live oak, and left it there, just watering it. It bounced back, and is looking great.

The other two, I've had barely a week now. Lowe's had them on clearance, and I got another three footer for $3.00, and an eight footer for $6.00! They both needed repotting, I've gotten the large one done, but not the small one just yet. All three are under the live oak, along with ferns, ivy, and other plants that love shade.

On one of our next trips to Florida, husband's family is going to give me some Sago pups. It's close to the wrong time of year to start them up here, but I'll try it. Once I get them established, I know they'll do well!

I'm hoping (possibly against hope ) that my cats will leave all my plants alone this winter. I'd hate it if they got my large palm!

Red face cat issues

have you ever tries some spray on the pots of your plants they have one called fooey for animals that chew I think you could spray it on the plant but you would have to check with the product label or what about growing wheat grass in a pot for the cats and put it where they can grase on it then they might leave the plants alone it helped my plants because i had a cat that would chew on them and when I gave something he could eat he seemed to stay away from the plants...

I haven't been able to find a spray that will keep the cats away without harming my plants.

We built a cat room, complete with sod, catnip, chives, and oat grass. As it's summer, and all the plants are outside, there's not too much of a problem right now. When it turns cold, my problem will return. The main culprit is Boo, who LOVES lettuce as well!

My Sago was doing fine having new growth appear. My wife did something to it. Not looking good. The new growth is dying. Any tips on what to do.
