Default T.R. Hovey Papayas

I have been looking for a T.R. Hovey Papaya for over a year now. In my area you can start them inside around Nov. or Dec. The in the spring, plant them outside when the frost danger has passed as we do with tomatoes. If well cared for, T.R. Hovey papayas will fruit before the next winter frost. I’ve seen pic of a guy who does this in Columbia, SC.
“Frosty14545” posted the "Wellspring Garden Site" under “Recommended Web Sites To Buy From”. Under “Subtropical Fruit”, on the 2nd page. You can buy a T.R. Hovey papaya as I did. I’ll let you know next fall if I’m eating homegrown Papayas.

Last winter i planted papaya from seeds. It was the small papaya sold at the oriental store. I believe it's called Solo. I planted them in raised bed, and they grew so fast, by end of summer they reached 5'. I dug them up and kept them in the greenhouse, unfortunately I had a problem with the heat and they died when the temperatures dropped below freezing the one night.
