| Has anybody tried this fruit? Tried one today,a very hard fruit,even when it felt as though it was soft a touch and very dry tasting. About a dozen seeds was all that was there,about half white and half black,sowed the black seeds,so will see how long to germination if any at all!!! |

| I grew Russian Quince, from seed, about a year ago. This is a true 'tree form' that is hardy here (zone 4/5) and produces early. I cleaned the seeds then put them in damp vermiculite in the fridge for a month and a half. Then planted them as any other 'woody'. Germination was near 100%. Now that you've mentioned it....I may post a photo of the seedlings. |
