| CA has stringent restrictions on importing and moving Citrus.....you could ship budwood out of CA but we couldn't legally ship a grafted tree back to you or your Mom. You could check with your local garden shops or your County's Extension office to see if someone locally could graft for you. If you want to give rooting a try...go back through the postings above this one, there's a lot of information right here. Give it a try and keep us posted. Good luck! |

| I dunno, it's a possibility. In my opinion air layering is at least as complicated as rooting a cutting. My first choice would still be grafting budwood to a suitable rootstock. With air-layering or rooting a cutting, either method, the plant will be growing on it's own root-system...something that is pretty unusual in the 'edible' citrus world.
