| Well, here a picture of my CaraCara pigmented Navel Orange budding. It's a chip budding on Citrus volkameriana Roootstock. This is fully anorganic. It's made of high porous clay. The clay is build up in large hollow sticks, made highly porous and then burned. So it's like some kind of isoperlite or so, but can like cats toilet granulatum, take up water and fertilizer/water mixture. Browse: [Only Registered Users Can See Links. | This is representative of my current crop of Trifoliate rootstocks, most are in the 20"-22" height and a bit larger than a pencil. I planted these from seed early in the summer of 06...so they're a bit over a year old. Growing them in 'flats', in root-trainers produces a nice straight stem to work with.
