Has anyone tried planting citrus from seeds and had good results? Just got some really tasty ruby red grapefruits from a garage sale where someone had grown them in their yard. I did save the seeds, does anything have any idea if they would have fruit as good as the originals?

Grapefruit grown from seed will bloom and produce fruit *IF* grown in the ground in a warm climate. Seedling grapefruit have a long juvenility period, and begin fruiting approximately 12 to 15 years after planting. For container grown grapefruit, it is theoretically "possible" for the tree to fruit, however, container grown grapefruit rarely ever produce fruit. This is due to the growth/size restriction caused by container culture. Because of the restriction, container grapefruit very rarely, if ever, reach the required node count, therefore never reach maturity, therefore never fruit.

you could always plant the seeds and use them as root stock..
Maybe where you got the yummy fruit would let you get some budwood in a yr or two..
