| I have been looking for some Seville Sour Orange Budwood. I got a Seville fruit at the Citrus Expo. First, I was able to taste it which was new for me. But it had about an inch of stem on the fruit. I like to try new things. So with 2 or 3 buds on the stem, I tried grafting the fruit's stem. Now I have my Seville Sour Orange. | Nice job Terry. Thank You for sharing this. I'm learning to do the same after seeing your photo I did another one, it looks like the first two didn't take. This one I'm giving bottom heat and I placed a baggy over it. I use paraffin grafting tape and Doc Farwells grafting seal. I have about 15 stocks to work with. Terry your doing a GREAT job as a Super Moderator I'm very proud of having you as a team member. Dale Last edited by admin : 02-13-2008 at 12:34 PM. |

| Sorry, I did explain myself well. I had an inch long scion wood that I took off of the Fruit. I cleft grafted the scion to a rootstock. And it worked! I didn't use a "T" bud graft. I was worried that because of the time of the year that it wouldn't take. I didn't have any rootstock that the bark was slipping. Terry __________________ |

| No, No, Terry your first posting was very clear. I mailed Joe a few weeks back about doing this. He suggested I wait a bit longer. Maybe I'm a bit eager at this time I also read Bonnies posting and placed some bud wood in the frig. away from apples. I really like doing this even if it fails, I still learn. Anyway it's all in fun I enjoy this type of learning. Your doing a GREAT job. |

| Several years ago I purchased satsuma fruit from Walmart in Beaumont TX that has twigs attached to them. That was the reason they were bought. Did sveral cleft grafts and they have turned out to be good satsumas. |
