Dwarf Cavendish is one of the best bananas for many growing locations. The plant is dwarf sized, but it produces large bunches of medium sized sweet fruit. Dwarf Cavendish does well in greenhouses, containers, and winters well indoors in northern climates. Its a naturally occurring dwarf mutant of the taller members of the Cavendish banana family. It was once a commercial variety, but has been replaced by Musa Grand Nain the Chiquita banana. Generally it grows to 6 or 7 ft in height. There is also a Super Dwarf Cavendish banana (4-ft. max.) that "can" get tiny edible fruit, however, I have never known anyone that has successfully fruited the plant.

Dwarf Cavendish is a very easy to grow in Zone 4... In a Container. They are very pretty and gives a Tropical look to the environment to which they are grown.

Although known to Chock. I would recommend it.
